Spicy Pretzels
Quick and Easy spiced up pretzels.
SNACK
At my job, we have a wonderful customer name Leanne who will occasionally call me for assistance with a quick question or minor problem, which I'm happy to help her with. After one of these calls, where she had a problem that she thought was bad but was easily resolved, she stopped in our office with a big tub of spiced pretzels as a thank you. They were an absolute hit and she was kind enough to share the recipe with me. Feel free to adjust the spiciness level to your preference!
Ingredients:
1 Tub of Harvest Road Butter Spinzel Pretzels. I get them from the grocery section at Menards. She insisted that this is the kind you have to use and who am I to argue? I have not tried it with a different kind.
1 Cup of Canola Oil
1 Packet Hidden Valley Ranch Mix
1 Tb Dried Cilantro
1 Tb Cayenne
Instructions:
Pour the pretzels into a large ziplock bag. They will fit in a gallon bag but I prefer to use a 2 gallon bag since it's easier to mix. Try not to get all of the salt from the bottom of the tub into the bag. Just toss it once the pretzels are in the bag, but keep the tub.
In a liquid measuring cup, mix together your Canola Oil, Ranch Mix, Cilantro, and Cayenne.
Pour the mixture over the pretzels, press the air out of the bag, and seal it carefully.
Flip the bag a few times to distribute the mix and then gently massage it around to ensure all the pretzels get coated. Repeat the flipping and massaging maneuver several times over the next couple of hours.
After they've been thoroughly covered and the inside of the bag looks fully dry, go ahead and put the pretzels back in the tub. They're good now, but they're better after they sit overnight. Enjoy!
